The Best Sisig in Davao is Hiding in a Karinderya

(Hi! Its been a while since I wrote! But this food just inspired me again!)

One lunchtime my brother D brought some sisig wrapped in foil which he said he
ordered somewhere. The Husband and I tasted it and we found it to be sooo yummy! In fact, the yummiest sisig we had ever tasted! (And we’ve tasted a lot of sisigs) Bad thing that D only bought 1 order which wasn’t enough for us.

Little did I know that the Husband fell in love with the sisig. Immediately the next day, we went on a lunch date on a mission to find the source of this super yummy sisig. Did it come from a restaurant in mall?  Or in some pop-up-store by a starting chef? Or perhaps some high level cuisine from a hotel?...

I asked D and he said it was from a karinderya in Obrero.  Eh? Are you sure D? It didn’t look like and certainly didn’t taste like it came from a karinderya! Perhaps you mean a big karinderya? D said No, in fact its quite hard to find. (ooh a challenge!)

So off we went to Obrero. D said it was in Lupo Diaz street.. we stopped by some small karidnderyas but none of them fit D’s description. Until..

Tadaa! We found it! Romeo’s Eatery! Romeo himself was manning the karinderya. Is the sisig available? Yes it is! Do we want it spicy! Yep we do! So here it is!

Sweet, spicy, salty, super duper yummy!!! Its so yummy I cant think of any other word to describe it except yummy!! Super Yummy! With a hint of butter and mayo. And chili of course so it’s not nakaka-umay. It also had crunchy chicharon on top! But the sisig that D brought had REAL HOT PINAKUPSAN on top! (cry!) (Maybe you have to request the pinakupsan)

We also ordered some paklay to go with the sisig. It was delish too but I just really focused myself on the sisig hehe. Here’s a pic of the paklay.

Are you wondering how many orders of rice we had? We had 5. And there’s only 2 of us. (YOLO) For us, it’s the ABSOLUTE BEST-TASTING SISIG EVER!!!

Here’s the BEST PART. This super yummy sisig costs only Php 55.00!!!! Can you believe it??! Coz frankly I can’t get over it!!

And…they also have CHICKEN sisig and new BEEF sisig!!! I haven’t tried it yet but I’m really planning to!

You’ve got to try this super yummy sisig at Romeo’s Eatery! It’s a really simple and small karinderya, near Blue gym, Obrero.

I’m so happy to share this gem of a sisig with you guys. Enjoy! ☺ Share this post with your friends! Comment how’s the sisig for you. ☺
